72nd Independence Day was conducted by Vivekananda Law College. Retired Army officer, Sri. Shriranga Shasthri Manila was the Chief Guest and he hoisted the National Flag. Mr. Shriranga Shasthri Manila address the students about the patriotism towards our mother India which is very essential for the younger generation and he emphasized the role played by freedom fighters to achieve freedom from Britishers.
Mr. Manila also remembered the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters to free the Indians from the clutches of Britishers.
Mr. Manila said it is the lawyers who were in the fore front to achieve freedom for India and also to frame a dignified constitution for India. He also recapitulated the opportunities available for the law students in defence.
The president of the governing council Mr. Ganesh Joshi a Chartered Accountant presided over the function. Mr.Vijayanarayana K.M. Correspondent of Vivekananda Law College, Dr. B.K. Ravindra Director of Legal Studies, and Mr. Rajendra Prasad In- charge Principal were present on this occasion.
Ms. Dhanya M.K. Joint Secretary of Student Council not only conducted the Master of ceremony but also rendered Vote of Thanks. After the formal function, sweets were distributed to all students and guests on this occasion.
