75th Independence day was celebrated in solemnity at our Vivekananda Law College, Puttur. The chief guest of the function Sri Shashidhar B. N. Advocate and President of Alumni Association, unfurled the national flag on this occasion.
Addressing the student community after hoisting the flag, recalled the days of pre-independent India and paid homage to all Indians who directly and indirectly contributed to nation’s freedom .At this threshold of 75 years of Indian independence eve, our responsibility for the nation’s well being is almost doubled. Though we no need to fight any longer for the freedom of the country, upholding the national spirit by following its culture, dignity and heritage is in our hand. He also added that ,being in the field of Law, respecting and implementing the duties and responsible of each citizen becomes our prime responsibility and we need to continue the great heritage of peace and brotherhood in the country for a better future.
The college correspondent Vijayanarayana K. M., the principal Smt. Akshatha A. P. were present on the occasion.
All Teaching and non-Teaching Staff and students witnessed the solemn ceremony. IIB.A.,LL.B student Arpitha welcomed the dignitaries and proposed vote of thanks. II B.A,LL.B students Samhitha and team sang patriotic songs and ceremony ended with the distribution of sweets.
