On 21.08.2018 a Guest Lecture was arranged for students of Vivekananda Law College by the Counselor of Manipal University. Mr. Girish on the topic “Mind and Memory”. Mr. Girish highlighted that memory power is the most important ingredient in one’s life.
He was of the view that always one should allow positive thoughts to flow into one’s mind and ignore the negative thought, to enhance the memory power. Whenever we want to arrive at a decision on a specific problem, we have to study the problem from different perspectives even when we study the problem we should allow the mind to be free and look from the positive angle. To increase the memory power one should have patience, concentration and memory.
Mind storage indicates the power of memory. Because whenever we look at a problem what we see is 20% ,what we discuss is 70%. But if we have stored in our mind the entire issues with concentration then it is easy to balance. For concentration food habits plays an important role.
He emphasized black grapes, milk, green tea and taking of more water will increase strength. Taking of junk food will decrease the memory power.
Eventually Mr. Girish gave certain tips to strengthen the memory power, that is one should be cool in handling the situation , should have a control, concentration, confidence, courage and spirit of completing the problem. It is these qualities that strengthen the mind and memory.
