Vivekananda Law College, Puttur organised One Day seminar on the topic “Kashmir Issue and Present Constitutional Changes”.
The Seminar was Inaugurated by Sri Radhakrishna Borkar, President Taluk Panchayat, Puttur Sri Borkar observed that the abrogation of Article 370 and 35 was appropriate and appreciated for the bold decision taken by Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Government for removing special status for Jammu and Kashmir and making Ladakh as a union territory.
Dr. Sudha Rao, Vice President of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, expressed that the students of law and Younger Generation should know the status of Jammu and Kashmir and the reason for taking a significant decision by Hon’ble Prime Misnister Narendra Modi’s Government.
The key note address was delivered by Prof.Premshankar, Columnist and Kannada Story writer as well as the President of Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishad Karnataka.
Prof. Premshankar delivered an excellent talk by tracing the history of Article 370 and the reasons for abrogation. Prof.Premshankar observed that the decision taken by the Government was apt and how the Government was able to convince the Political Parties and said Jammu and Kashmir is a part of India.
Mr.Vijayanarayana, Advocate and Correspondent of Vivekananda Law College Governing Council, Dr.B.K.Ravindra, Director of Legal Studies, Smt.Akshatha A.P., Principal Vivekananda Law College Puttur were also present. Nearly three hundred delegates participated in the seminar.
