A special lecture on “Indian Culture and Traditional values and law” by Sri Aruna Shyam

A special lecture on “Indian Culture and Traditional values and law” was conducted on 23/07/2022 at college conference hall by Vivekananda Law College in association with IQAC and Legal Services Clinic.

Additional Advocate General, Govt. of Karnataka Sri Aruna Shyam was the resource person. Addressing the student community on the topic entitled “Indian Culture and Traditional values and law” he said that culture and customs are part of a society. Indian culture is a combination of several cultures. It is a pluralistic and multi –cultural society where many faiths and belief systems regulate the life of individuals. Many elements of Indian culture have modified in accordance with time and changing perspectives of people and also have been established over the years. Keeping this in mind, all laws and law makers reflect the cultural ethos of the society. Constitution of India tries to protect the interests of people by giving some cultural and educational rights.

Sri Vijayanaryana K.M, Correspondent of Governing Council presided over the programme. College Principal Smt.Akshatha A.P, Student Welfare Officer Dr. Rekha K, Coordinator of Legal Services Clinic Smt. Sangeetha S.M, Student Coordinator of Legal Aid Committee,Student Coordinator of Legal Aid Committee Sri.Ramesha Kof III LLB were present during the occasion.
