A special talk was organized by IPR cell of Vivekananda Law College at conference hall on 22/07/2023.Dr. Santhosh Prabhu , Asstistant Professor of Law SDM Law College was the Resource person.
Addressing the student community on the topic “Intellectual Property Rights”, he spoke about the importance of registration of trademark, protection of biodiversity, rights of the copyrights holder, and licensing of patent. He also said that earlier the patent invention protection was given for twenty years. In the present scenario because of the competition involved in the field, the technologies are becoming outdated hence patent invention is losing its value soon.
