The 35th Annual Day was celebrated with grandeur at Vivekananda Law College auditorium on 26/08/2023.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice Savanur Vishwajith Shetty, Judge, High Court of Karnataka was the chief guest. Speaking about the importance of learning, he said that education is not just accumulation of knowledge but it is a formation of character and preparation for life in the competitive world outside. He said that a very few people in our civilized world have concern towards society. Law students have a major responsibility of using their knowledge about law and make the world a better place for upcoming generation.
Dr. K.M. Krishna Bhat, the Secretary of Vivekananda Vidhyavardhaka Sangha in his presidential address said that law has to be a positive and constructive social device for the welfare of the society.
Sri M Ram Mohan Rao, Senior Advocate, Puttur said that sheer will and determination will lead a person to progress in his life. Law students must focus on strengthening their inner ability. Highlighting the achievements of college alumni in the judicial and legal field, he advised the students to work on building their career similarly.
Prizes were distributed to the participants of various activities held at college. Endowment, proficiency prizes for the students who scored the highest marks in the previous examination were also distributed by the guests.
Smt. Akshatha A. P., Principal read out the Annual Report of the Academic year 2022-23. President of student Council Mr. Abhishek Lal read out the Annual Report of student Council.
Sri Shashidhar B. N., President of Alumni Association. Sri Vijaya Narayana K. M., the correspondent of College Governing council, Dr. B. K. Ravindra, Director of Legal Studies, Student Council Joint Secretary, Ms. Pooja K., were present during the occasion.
Student welfare officer Smt. Sangeetha S. M. welcomed the gathering. Secretary of student Council Mr. Prajwal J. K. proposed vote of thanks. Smt. Sandhya P. M. Assistant Professor of English mastered the programme.
