“Investing time to learn something in our profession make us rich in our knowledge, if we are not, then it will make us poor in our performance.” Keeping this statement in mind Vivekananda Law College has organised a Faculty Development Programme on 31.07.2019 Wednesday (Under IQAR Cell).
The programme was inaugurated by Sri K.M Krishna Bhat, Secretary, Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, Puttur. The president of the Programme is Sri. Vijayanarayana K.M, Correspondent, Vivekananda Law College, Governing Council. The main aim of this programme is to inculcate the methods of teaching and also develop the professional skills among the teachers and lecturers. In view of this, one day workshop on Faculty Development has been organised under Internal Quality Assurance Cell not only for the law faculties but also for the other faculties from different Institutions who were invited to this programme.
Smt Akshatha A.P, Principal, welcomed the guests with her welcome speech. The first session of the workshop was conducted by Mr. Pradeep M.D, Professor, Srinivas University, Mangalore. As a Resource Person he explained the methods of Research and how Doctrinal and Non Doctrinal methods have been used in a research and also he has explained about the rules of publications of Research Papers.
The Second Session was taken up by Mr. Vineet Sham Bhat, Advocate, High Court of Karnataka. As a Resource Person Mr.Bhat explained how the professional quality should be improved by the teachers and lecturers and how they should update themselves with the current affairs.
The third session was conducted taken by Dr. B.K Ravindra, Director of Legal Studies, Vivekananda Law College. Dr.B.K.Ravindra explained the various methods of teaching like Lecture Method, Discussion Method, Case Method, Group Discussion in order to draw the attention of students and inculcate skills of learning.
