On 13.11.2019 a Guest Lecture was organized on Hindu Succession Act. Dignitaries on the Dias were Ram Mohan Rao , Senior Advocate Puttur Bar Association, Murulikrishna Challangar, Advocate, Puttur Bar Association. Smt. Akshatha A.P Principal of Vivekananda Law College, Dr. Rekha, Assistant Professor of Law was Presided.
Ram Mohan Rao addressed the audience about the Hindu Succession Act. Sir stressed section 6 which speaks about the Devolution of Interest in Coparcenary Property. Sir explained the recent Amendment of Hindhu Succession (Amendment) Act 2005 which includes the Daughters of the deceased have equal rights with sons regarding property rights which provides equal rights between males and females in legal system. Sir spoke about the Widows Right in husband’s property and included that a Remarried Widow can keep the share of her dead Husbands property. Sir explained about heirs of the Hindu male respectively, Class I Heirs, Class II Heirs, Agnates, Cognates, Government and concluded the speech.
