The inauguration of National Service Scheme (NSS) activities for academic year 2021-22 of Vivekananda Law College was held on 03/12/2021.
Dr. Sridhar Gowda P, Principal of Government First Grade Women’s College, Puttur inaugurated the programme. Addressing the students gathering, he said that NSS helps students to evolve completely .Patriotic mindset, service oriented perspective can lead to the overall development of an individual if proper training is given during the formative years of life. The role of NSS is prominent in the development of rural areas. Active participation of NSS volunteers in the rural development activities also plays a crucial role.
Dr. B.K. Ravindra, Director of Legal Studies, Vivekananda Law College presided over the function. Explaining the importance of an NSS volunteer in serving the society, he appreciated the way needy people get benefited by the work which is done by NSS volunteers.
Principal of Vivekananda Law College Smt. Akshatha A.P. said that students need to inculcate to imbibe different qualities by participating in the different activities which will help them in the overall development of their personality.
College NSS Coordinator Sri Lamikanth A, spoke on the vision and mission of the NSS unit and gave a detailed explanation about the NSS activities.
An exclusive wall magazine named ‘Seva Bimba’ of NSS was also released during the occasion.
College Teaching and Non Teaching staff were present in the programme.
