Vivekananda Law College gives prime importance to Moot Court and Mock Trial exercises. In view of this a new Moot Court hall has been constructed with all modern facilities accommodated One Fifty students.
The New Moot Court Hall was inaugurated by Justice Ashok B. Hinchigery, Judge, Karnataka High Court accompanied by all the Governing Council members.
The college strongly commits to moot court exercises for reasons mentioned below:
➡ Mooting is a form of an oral proceeding similar to that of a court proceeding practical in all colleges and universities meant for law students. Where a Law Student is trained to fight an argument before a panel of Judges.
➡ While presenting the argument Judge shall pose questions on both facts and law to check both aptitude and prompt adaptability to a given situation.
➡ For Law Students mooting is an integral part of Legal Education. It is the closest experience a lawyer will get by studying in Law Schools.
➡ Mooting is an academic exercise where student inculcate all the habits and understand both the policies and procedures of court.
➡ Moot Court is a way where a student is groomed to become an effective law by inculcating advocacy skills like identifying a problem, identifying key decision makers and use a respectful and assertive communication style.
The students get connected with large number of students across the globe.Participating helps to develop Research Skills because on the basis of your research you will be fighting your case. It enables in enhancing your skills as to how to adopt to prompt situations and how to tackle situations.
