Inaugural Function:
Karnataka State Law University, Hubballi in association with Vivekananda Law College, Puttur organized two days’ Zonal Level Youth Festival-2024 on 4th and 5th March at Vivekananda Law College Campus in Puttur.
Addressing the gathering after inauguration, Indian Theatre Artist, Director and President of Karnataka South Samskara Bharathi Sri K. Suchendra Prasad said that every language has its own uniqueness. Kannada is such a wonderful language that it carries meanings and references beyond itself. Being citizens of Karnataka we must understand that language has a huge cultural heritage in it.
Dr. K.M Krishna Bhat , Secretary , Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha , Puttur ,in his presidential address said that in order to provide a qualitative and value based education to the children of rural area Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha has spread its wings through more than 69 educational institutions. Such fests enhance their vision and mission of inculcating culture, patriotism amongst the youth.
Principal of Vivekananda Law College , Smt. Akshatha A.P. welcomed the gathering. Miss. Disha, Assistant Professor of Law proposed a vote of thanks.
Correspondent of Vivekananda Law College Governing Council, Sri Vijayanarayana K.M., Director of Legal Studies Dr. B.K. Ravindra were present in the inaugural function.
7 different colleges had sent their student representatives for the Zonal Youth Fest and nearly 170 students participated in the different cultural events like songs, dance, elocution, painting , mimicry, skit and rangoli.
Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Law College, Mangalore grabbed the overall championship of zonal youth festival whereas Vaikunta Baliga College of Law, Udupi team got runner up trophy.
Valedictory programme:
Sri Bhojaraj Vamanjoor, Thulu Movie, Theatre and Yakshagana Artist and Sri Prakash Thuinad , Indian Film Actor were the chief guests for the valedictory programme held on 5/3/2024 at Vivekananda Law College . Sri Surendra Kini, President of Vivekananda Law College Governing Council presided over the valedictory programme.
Correspondent of Vivekananda Law College Governing Council, Sri Vijayanarayana K.M., Director of Legal Studies Dr. B.K. Ravindra, Principal Smt. Akshatha A.P. were present in the inaugural function. Winners of the different competitions were given prizes.
Dr. Rekha K, Coordinator of Vivekananda Law College Cultural Committee welcomed the gathering. Sri Lakshmikantha A, Assistant Professor of Political Science proposed vote of thanks.
