INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY

Vivekananda Law College celebrated International Yoga Day at the college campus in association with IQAC, NSS and Sports Committee on 21.06.2024.

The programme was presided by Dr. B.K Ravindra, Director of Legal Studies, Smt. Sandhya P.M, Asst. Professor, was the Resource Person and Smt. Sangeetha S.M, Asst. Professor of Law, Sri Naveen Kumar M.K, Physical Education Director and Sri. Lakshmikantha A. Asst. Professor of Political Science.

President of the Programme Dr. B.K Ravindra spoke about the importance of yoga and said that Yoga has many physical and mental health benefits including improved posture, flexibility, strength, balance and body awareness.

Yoga is an ancient practice that incorporates gentle exercise, breath control and meditation. The health benefits of regular yoga practice include lowering blood pressure, improved posture and circulation, and a sense of wellbeing.

The Resource person spoke about the need of Yoga in the present day. Resource person said that Yoga asana is a great way to increase our strength and flexibility, release stress, and improves our health. And emphasized about the yoga sutras of Patanjali.

Bhoomika B.B of Ist BA LL.B welcomed the gathering and Dhanish of Ist BA LL.B proposed vote of thanks. Formal programme was followed by a practical yoga session. The Student Community practiced yoga with vigour and zeal.
