Vivekananda Law College, Puttur organised one day workshop in view of Golden Jubilee Celebration on 26/09/2019. The Program was named as ‘Supatha’.
Supatha was inaugurated by Sri Chandrashekar Bilinele, N.S.S. Officer of K.V.G. Polytechnic College, Sullia. Mr. Chandrashekar expressed that volunteers of N.S.S. will learn the realities of life by totally involving in N.S.S.
As values of Indian Society is on the diminishing Stage, inculcation of values should start from home. The concept of N.S.S. has undergone a change and it is not confined to field work but also in the personality Development, communication skills, brotherhood and understanding each other. The motto is not me, but you.
Dr. Krishna Bhat observed that N.S.S. is meant for service and not for enjoyment. Service without any expectation is the essence of N.S.S.
Sri Mahesh Nitilapura, Principal of Saraswathi P.U. College Kadaba, spoke on the role of students in Nation Building.
Sri Praveen Saralaya, Gramavikas Co-ordinator spoke on concept of Gram development and its benefits.
In the valedictory function Sri N.Seetharam, Director of Vivekananda Vidyavardhaka Sangha, addressed the students on the concept of Ramarajya, influence of western culture and committed service helps not only in one’s development but also contribution to the society.
Dr. B. K. Ravindra, Director of Legal Studies, spoke on the various activities which N.S.S. can discharge for the development of both student and society. Dr. B. K. Ravindra spoke about the benefits of N.S.S. to students community and how the strength of N.S.S. volunteers increased from Fourty Thousand to 3.8 Million. The Annual Camp of N.S.S. really moulds the students, and brings belongingness among the students community.
Prof. Kumar S., N.S.S. Officer, welcomed the audience and the correspondent of the college Sri. Vijayanarayana K.M., Smt. Akshatha A.P., Principal of the college and N.S.S. Leaders Mr. Mahaveer Prasad and Kum. Nivitha were present on the stage.
