On 2nd of August one day Orientation Programme was conducted. In the First Session Three speakers spoke on three different areas, like Advocacy Skills in Legal Profession by Sri Suryanarayan, Advocate and an Alumni of Vivekananda Law College, Sri M.V. Shankar Bhat Advocate, on Ethics of Legal Profession and Capt. Ganesh Karnik, Former M.L.C. and Chief Whip of B.J.P., on Human Values. The talk by three eminent Personalities were well received by both Parents and Students.
In the afternoon, Dr. B.K. Ravindra Director of Legal Studies spoke on the area of Career opportunities in Law. He explained how the traditional method of specializations in law has come into existence like Mediation, Arbitration. Conciliation, Intellectual Property Rights, Corporate Law, Maritime Law Aviation Law etc. Dr. B.K. Ravindra also emphasized the importance of U.P.S.C. Examinations, Judicial Examinations and other Competitive Examinations. Students were given an opportunity to directly interact with the Director to know the procedure and approach to study for competitive Examination.
