“PRERANA” WORKSHOP CONDUCTED AT VIVEKANANDA LAW COLLEGE

On the 17th of October 2024, Vivekananda Vidhyavardhaka Sangha organized “Prerana” a one day’s workshop at Vivekananda Law College campus.

This program was conducted for the office bearers, first and second division assistants, laboratory technicians and librarians of all institutions coming under Vivekananda Vidhyavardhaka Sangha.

In the first session, Sri Achyuth Nayak, kutumbha prabodhan, tolly member of Mangaluru vibhaga and RSS swayamsevak sangha member introduced the Sangha to the participants by talking about the history and evolution of the RSS, including the starting of various organizations under its wing, including Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Akhila Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, Bharatiya Jana Sangh which later became the Bharatiya Janata Party. He also told that despite the hurdles faced by RSS it has continued to work and is actively helping the society at large.

In the second session, Sri Rohit, College vidyarthi pramukh, pracharak, Mangaluru vibhaga introduced the various gatividhis, or topics/blueprint under which the RSS conducts its activities. They are kutumbha prabhodane or giving value system to families, whereby internal family issues can be resolved by milana, Samarasya, or how to bring about harmony and prevent discord and feeling of animosity towards each other, parisara samrakshane, or how to protect the environment, including planting trees, conserving water,  Gou Seva, or how to nurture and protect the cows (gomata), and prevent cow slaughter, Gramavikaasa, or how to develop and work with the villagers and Dharma Jaagarane or how to invoke the spirit of dharma and prevent conversions from taking place.

In the third session, led by Sri Subbhraya Punacha, Puttur zilla sahaboudhik pramukh, held an interactive session with the participants and sought suggestions from them as to how to inculcate RSS activities on a day to day or weekly basis. Participants interacted and formed 4 groups, where their group captains spoke on their agendas, which were appreciated by the speaker.

 

In the fourth session, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha shakha and Rashtriya Sevika Samithi shakhas were held to bring about awareness of how they are held in the actual shakhas. Participants were made to play games along with the shakhas.

In the final session, Sri Kajampady Subhramanya Bhat, akhila bharatiya tolly member of kutumbha prabhodana held an interactive session where question answer session was done. During the session the importance of culture, spirituality, nation building, families, children were all discussed. People should follow the Indian culture because it is the culture of the oldest and good civilizations of the world. He stated that irrespective of your individual faith, you must participate in nation-building.
