A Blood Donation Campaign was held at Vivekananda Law College Auditorium on 04 /01/ 2024 by the Youth Red Cross of Vivekananda Law College. This was organized in association with NSS, ABVP, Rotary Club Puttur and Blood Bank, Puttur under the leadership of Mr. M.K. Naveen Kumar and Mr. Thilak T Coordinators of Youth Red cross Club, Vivekananda Law College.
The Campaign was inaugurated by Rtn.Dr. Bhasker S , Honorary Medical Officer, Puttur ,Rotary Campco Blood Center. By speaking about the significance of blood donation, he created awareness amongst the student community regarding the purpose of organizing the camp. Interested students were asked to donate their blood so that it could be used to the poor people who need this but could not afford their expense. .
The other guests on the stage during the inaugural function were Mr. Santhosh Shetty, President of Red Cross, Puttur , Rtn.Gracy Gonsalvis, President of Rotary Club Puttur City, Sri.Lakshmikantha A Coordinator of NSS Smt. Akshatha A.P. Principal of Vievekananda Law College presided over the programme.
Mr.Karthik Nayak B of VBALLB Youth Red Cross Student Coordinator welcomed the gathering and Ms. Shreya N.P of III.LL.B proposed vote of thanks.
The student community and guests then proceeded for the blood donation campaign where students volunteered to donate their blood.
The donors were given refreshments. The campaign ended at 12 P.M .All teaching and non teaching staff were present.
