The valedictory programme of NSS activities for the academic year of 2023-2024 was held at Vivekananda Law College Auditorium, Sujnana Deepika Auditorium on 25/10/2024.
The chief guest of the programme was Dr. Nandish Y. D., the Head of the Social Work Department at Uppinangadi Government First Class College. Dr. Nandish delivered an insightful lecture on “Emotional Intelligence and Patriotism,” where he emphasized the vital connection between thoughts and attitudes, defined emotional intelligence as the self-awareness of emotions, strengths, and weaknesses, and highlighted the importance of responding to societal needs as an expression of patriotism. He encouraged law students to proactively engage in serving the country, advocating for the motto “Nanagalla ninage” as a guiding principle for service, while asserting that true patriotism encompasses a lifelong commitment to national service.
The programme was presided over by Mrs. Akshatha A.P, the Principal of Vivekananda Law College, who said that emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in managing life situations alongside academic growth and urged students to participate actively in society, leveraging NSS platforms for both personal and communal development.
Sri Lakshmikanth Rai A, NSS Programme Office and Assistant Professor of Political Science delivered the introductory speech. Kumari Shree Raksha, NSS Programme Office and Assistant Professor of Law distributed the Certificates to all the students who were part of the college NSS team for the last two years. Varsha, student coordinator of NSS did the welcome address, the annual report of NSS activities of the academic year 2023-2024 was read out by Akshatha of IIIBALLB, and the vote of thanks was proposed by Ms.Vidyalakshmi.
